Quarterbacks toss up 50/50 balls to receivers that they trust all the time. I mean yah, I get it, it didn’t look great because Palmer got all turned around and he didn’t even go up for the ball. But nobody says anything about any of the other QBs when they were counting on their receivers to run a different route and it gets snagged.
Maybe we didn’t need it in that moment, but does anybody ever really NEED a 50/50 ball when the QB is out there chucking them? He tossed one in the playoffs that got torn out of our receiver’s hands mid air and it wasn’t the pass itself that people blamed in that moment. He certainly wasn’t tossing up moronic passes like Drake Maye out there on Sunday. His team is down and he’s in a dog fight trying to win and thought Palmer could AT LEAST make a play on it?
Everyone always tries to point the finger at his turnover game but somehow forget that the greats that are remembered also threw ints trying to force passes. Go take a look at the Brady vs Manning rivalry and every one of those highlight videos is chock full of them.
Tear him down all you want, but Josh Allen is the Truth.
