The stars are aligning for a Brandon Beane August Trade to materialize in the near future.

Last week, I wrote about potential candidates to be shipped in a trade, two of which were offensive linemen.

And now offensive line injuries are popping up across the league.

On Wednesday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported a serious injury to the Los Angeles Chargers blocking unit:

The Chargers have essentially never been able to field a serviceable blocking unit in front of Justin Herbert, and injuries have had been one of the main culprits, especially over the past few seasons.

In the NFC, the Washington Commanders will experience life without Laremy Tunsil for a while, as the superstar left tackle recently suffered a torn triceps and is expected to miss a large chunk of the 2026 campaign. Washington’s presumed starting center Nick Allegretti is working his way back from a calf injury.

In a joint practice on Wednesday, Ravens center Danny Pinter was carted off the joint practice field with what is thought to be a serious injury. Remember, Baltimore’s former stud center Tyler Linderbaum signed a monster deal with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency.

Also on Wednesday, a trade of this sort went down, with the Jaguars sending a 2027 late-round pick in exchange for Giants (and former Ravens) guard Daniel Faalele.

Could that Jacksonville-New York swap open the August Trade flood gates?

Whether it’s the loser of the backup center battle in Buffalo — either Sedrick Van Pran-Granger or Lloyd Cushenberry — with Connor McGovern still nursing his way back to full health or a swing tackle like Tylan Grable or Chase Lundt, there are blocking options for other teams to potentially be interested in on the trade market?

Do you think Brandon Beane ultimately gets a call about one of these offensive linemen from a team suddenly dealing with injuries along their offensive front? Heck, given how Keleki Latu has developed into his second training camp and the Bills depth at tight end, it wouldn’t be outlandish to nab the young, towering tight end as a potential trade chip.

And if so, who do you think would be most sensible for the Bills to trade?
