Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore has headed to the locker room with a shoulder injury. He dove for a pass in the back of the end zone and immediately grabbed at the area.
The Bills announced he is questionable to return with a shoulder injury and a stinger, but he was later downgraded to OUT. He went for an X-ray.
Moore was the marquee trade executed by the Bills to open up their pass offense this offseason and he’s delivered through six quarters. In addition to scoring his own touchdown and topping 100 yards, he’s drawn the secondary’s attention away from others. The Bills would move back to an “Everybody Eats” mentality without Moore in the lineup for an extended period of time.
We aren’t in the business of speculating, but a broken collarbone won’t necessarily end his season. It’s a multi-month injury, though. An AC joint sprain might keep him out for a month or so.
With Moore out, the Bills have Skylar Bell as a healthy scratch and he would move into the lineup. Brandin Cooks is a free agent and could return to Buffalo, as well. Trent Sherfield and Greg Dortch are on the practice squad and Dortch has used up two of his three game day elevations.
