The NFL has announced the waiver claims by all teams after roster cutdown day, and it was reasonably uneventful for the Buffalo Bills — they were not awarded any players.
However, rookie seventh-round pick Toriano Pride Jr. was claimed by the Browns.
This is not the first time during the Brandon Beane era a Bills rookie was claimed by another team after spending only one summer in Orchard Park.
Pride Jr. joins the likes of guard Jack Anderson, cornerback Alex Austin, guard Nick Broeker, tackle Luke Tenuta who were claimed before Week 1 by another team after one training camp and preseason with the Bills.
Buffalo selected Pride Jr. with its first of three seventh-round picks this past April after an illustrious career at Missouri and a blistering 4.32 time in 40-yard dash at the 2026 NFL Combine.
The 5’11”, 188-pounder missed a whopping three tackles on 100 snaps during the preseason and allowed nine catches for 50 yards with one touchdown on 11 targets in his coverage area. He was also credited with a pass breakup.
And now he’s a Cleveland Brown.
(This of course means, Kani Walker remains on the Bills practice squad.)
