The Buffalo Bills open the 2026 regular season against the Houston Texans on Sunday, September 13. But for Bills Mafia traveling to Houston, kickoff is only one part of the weekend.
The Houston Bills Backers have two days of festivities planned, beginning with their annual block party at Christian’s Tailgate on Saturday. On Sunday morning, fans can choose between the Backers’ traditional tailgate or an all-inclusive option from Fans of Buffalo.
Here is what you need to know before the Mafia takes over Houston.
Saturday: Bills Block Party at Christian’s Tailgate
The weekend begins Saturday, September 12, at Christian’s Tailgate Bar & Grill, the official home of the Houston Bills Backers.
Located at 2000 Bagby Street in Midtown Houston, Christian’s will host what it calls the “Best Bills Backer Party in the Country.” The party will include a live DJ, music throughout the day, a mechanical bull, photo opportunities, games, Sahlen’s hot dogs, drink specials and more.
Whether you live in Houston or are flying in for the season opener, this is the place to meet up with Bills fans before turning the focus to Sunday.

Sunday: Houston Bills Backers tailgate
For fans who prefer the traditional Bills tailgating experience, the Houston Bills Backers will open their lot at 6:30 a.m. Sunday. Yes, 6:30 a.m. Bills Mafia does not believe in sleeping in on game day.
The tailgate will be held at:

Admission is $10 per person for those walking into the lot or $40 per vehicle, regardless of how many people are inside. Payment can be made at the entrance using cash, a credit card, Venmo or Cash App.
This is a Rockpile-style, BYOB tailgate, so bring your own beverages, cooler and anything else you need for the morning. Burgers, including a vegetarian option, will be available for purchase from The Burger Joint. The lot will also have restrooms, music and plenty of room for Bills Mafia to spread out.
Need some last-minute Bills gear? Merchandise pop-ups will also give fans a chance to add a little more red, white and blue before heading into the game.
The private lot is not affiliated with NRG Stadium, so fans parking here should not purchase a separate Texans parking pass. The lot is approximately one mile from the stadium, making for a relatively easy walk to the gates after the tailgate.
Sunday: Fans of Buffalo Houston ’26 Tailgate
Fans looking for an all-inclusive experience can choose the Fans of Buffalo Houston ’26 Tailgate, located directly next to the Houston Bills Backers’ lot.
Instead of packing a cooler and bringing your own food, fans can purchase a package that includes food, drinks, music and a ready-made Bills Mafia party. It is the easier option for anyone traveling from out of town who wants to show up and enjoy the morning without having to assemble a full tailgating setup.
The party begins at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, giving fans several hours of food, drinks, music and Bills Mafia fun before kickoff. The current ticket price is $65 per person for the non-alcohol | all you can eat pass. The general admission price including all you can eat and an open bar is $95.
The food menu includes options such as BBQ chicken, grilled shrimp, pork belly, Buffalo chicken dip, potato salad, fries, fresh fruit and pan dulce. Unlike the Backers’ BYOB option, this package is designed for fans who would rather show up and have the food and drinks handled for them.

The two Sunday tailgates are directly beside one another so make sure you pick the one that is right for you. Whichever option you choose, you will be surrounded by Bills Mafia and within an easy walk of the stadium.
Houston is ready for the Mafia
Bills fans have never needed much help turning a road game into a home-away-from-home experience, and Houston makes it especially easy.
Start at Christian’s Tailgate on Saturday. On Sunday morning, choose between the Houston Bills Backers’ traditional BYOB setup and the all-inclusive Fans of Buffalo experience. Grab some food, browse the merchandise pop-ups, enjoy the music and then make the walk into the stadium with hundreds of fellow Bills fans.
